About this course
This course provides students with the essential skills and knowledge to deliver a first aid response in accordance with guidelines established by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other national clinical authorities.
It is designed for individuals who may need to administer first aid in various situations, including workplace and community environments.

Course Details
Delivery Method:
- Face-to-face training with required pre-course learning.
Duration:
- Minimum 4 hours face-to-face.
- With Asthma & Anaphylaxis: Minimum 4-6 hours face-to-face.
Prerequisites:
- No formal prerequisites are required.
- Participants should have basic English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
Entry Requirements for Express Course:
- Participants must have previously completed HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid training within the last three years.
- A copy of the expiring Statement of Attainment must be provided on the day of training.
Training Requirements:
- The course includes theoretical instruction, hands-on practice, and real-world scenarios.
Assessment:
- Participants will complete a knowledge test and practical assessments, including CPR techniques.
- Those undertaking Asthma & Anaphylaxis training will also be assessed on recognising and managing these conditions in simulated environments.
Course Renewal:
The Statement of Attainment is valid for three (3) years. CPR competency must be renewed every 12 months.*
Units of Competency
Upon successful completion, students will receive the following nationally recognised unit(s) issued by ABC Licence Training Pty Ltd (RTO 3399):
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
With additional training in Asthma and Anaphylaxis:
- 22578VIC – Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis
- 22556VIC – Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace

This training is an online, non-accredited course designed to be completed at your own pace. There are no formal prerequisites, but you will need basic English language and literacy skills.
The course includes a training kit that will have access to upon payment and enrolment. You’ll complete a knowledge test, which includes CPR and first aid techniques, in a simulated online environment.
While the course provides valuable first aid skills, it does not result in a nationally recognised qualification. You will, however, receive a certificate of completion after successfully finishing the training.
