Entry Requirements for Express Course:
- Participants must have previously completed HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid training within the last three years.
- A copy of the expiring Statement of Attainment must be provided on the day of training.
Training Requirements:
- The course includes theoretical instruction and simulated practice with real-world scenarios.
Assessment:
- Recapping the key online learning topics
- Role play and practice ‘empowering communication’’
- Create a simple action plan, including:
- Referrals and first steps
- Apply their new skills in three (3) scenarios

- Identify and respond effectively to mental health crises.
- Understand the nuances of mental health issues and their impact on individuals and communities.
- Apply effective communication skills to support and engage with people experiencing mental health challenges.
