About this course
This course provides students with the essential skills and knowledge to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies, following first aid guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other national clinical bodies.
It is designed for individuals who may need to provide first aid in various environments, including workplaces and community settings.

Delivery Method:
- Face-to-face training with required pre-course learning. *We come to you*
Duration:
- Express Online Learning 1 hour, followed by a Face-to-Face Practical session of 30 minutes.
- Standard Online Learning 1 hour, followed by a Face-to-Face Practical session of 2 hours.
Prerequisites:
- No formal prerequisites are required.
- Online learning must be completed before attending a face-to-face session.
- Participants should have basic English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
Training Requirements:
- The course includes theoretical instruction, hands-on practice, and real-world scenarios.
Assessment:
- Participants will complete a knowledge test and practical assessments, demonstrating proficiency in CPR and first aid techniques.
- Those undertaking Anaphylaxis training will also be assessed on recognising and managing these conditions in simulated environments.
Course Renewal:
- The Statement of Attainment is valid for 12 months.
- CPR training must be renewed annually to maintain certification*.
Units of Competency
Upon successful completion, students will receive the following nationally recognised unit(s) issued by ABC Licence Training Pty Ltd (RTO 3399):
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
With additional training in Asthma and Anaphylaxis:
- 22578VIC – Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis – $47.00 extra
